EXTRA EXTRA: Medicaid Monte in New York

Bill Hammond thought he was out, but he got pulled back into Poozer Politics.

For this emergency episode, Hammond provided analysis of a proposed amendment to the American Health Care Act (AHCA) that would shift the Medicaid burden in New York. He shed light on a  version of this proposal from former-Gov. Mario Cuomo, provided background on Medicaid in New York and speculated about the potential winners and losers in the state if the amendment is adopted (Hint: It’s being pushed by upstate members of Congress).

Hammond also theorized about the inclusion of New York City in the amendment and his conclusions are posted on the Empire Center for Public Policy’s website.
