Lupardo highlights lead testing in advertisement

Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo is going on television in the Southern Tier and touting her bill requiring the testing for lead in drinking water at schools.

Her ad “Keeping Our Community Safe” debuted on Monday and is scheduled to run through early October, according to one of her advertisement contracts.

Based on the filings with the Federal Communications Commission, Lupardo has purchased air time on the local CBS, ABC, FOX and NBC affiliates in Binghamton. It appears that her initial ad buy for the four stations is for about $14,000.

Lupardo will face Dorollo Nixon in November. The 123rd Assembly District has a Democratic enrollment edge of about 6,000 voters.
